- October 17 – Fast of Caring: “Let’s NOT do lunch” – The McLennan County Hunger Coalition (MCHC) invites everyone to help end hunger as they commemorate World Food Day with a Fast of Caring. They are asking two things: (1) skip lunch and (2) donate what you would have spent on the meal to the efforts of the MCHC or your favorite food pantry. This is a simple way to give without taking a dime from your regular budget. A program will be presented at Heritage Square from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. <MORE>
