got events?

Do you have an event you would like posted on the Act Locally: Waco website?  Just send a brief ”blurb” with the pertinent information (time, date, location, cost, etc.) to actlocallywaco@clearwire.net.  Be sure to include contact information in case someone needs to ask a question about your event.  If you have a flyer or other longer document you would like included, I can easily link to it in the blurb if you send me a “.pdf.”

Here’s an example of a typical blurb:

November 5 – NeighborWorks® Waco Annual Breakfast Banquet and Tour of Home Sites. 7:30 am Ridgewood Country Club, 7301 Fish Pond Road. No cost to attend the breakfast or tour; table sponsorships are available (8 seats) for $100 each. This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Jon Singletary of Baylor’s School of Social Work, who will be speaking on “The Role of Homeownership in Ending Poverty.” Reservations are required – please call 752-1647 or email cklawetter@nw-waco.org .
